Canberra Tree Week is a celebration of all things trees in Canberra. Our city is full of beautiful, unique and exceptional trees and forests that provide many positive benefits to the community.
Canberra Tree Week 2020
Canberra Tree Week 2020 was scheduled to be held from 2-10 May 2020.
In light of COVID-19 and in line with public health emergency directions it did not go ahead. Canberra Tree Week is expected to return in 2021.
Canberra Tree Week 2019
In 2019, Canberra Tree Week was held from 4-12 May to showcase the beautiful autumn colour of Canberra’s trees.
There were many great events held during the week including the ÑÇ²©¶Ä²© Tree Climbing Championships, a mountain bike ride through Kowen pine plantation, a harvest market stall and kite-making at the National Arboretum Canberra, and a forestry and education world cafÃ©. Many community members got involved through tree plantings, Hug-A-Tree day, art workshops, guided walks and tree-themed story times at local library branches,
